Islamabad: The government of Pakistan is actively working towards establishing a cyber-resilient nation, as stated by Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication. She highlighted the importance of creating a secure digital ecosystem during a recent ceremony focused on cybersecurity.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja addressed the challenges posed by increased digitization and underscored the government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens’ personal data. She noted the significant transition of almost all federal government departments to a digital governance and paperless system. The Minister also pointed out that the current work-from-home policy has further accelerated the adoption of digital tools, necessitating robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information.
