Islamabad: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, announced the government’s initiative to establish a Youth Advisory Council. The announcement was made during a news conference on Friday where Mashhood revealed that between seven to nine thousand young individuals have applied to be part of the National Youth Council program. Out of these, one hundred will be selected to serve on the Prime Minister’s Youth Advisory Council.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Youth Advisory Council aims to provide a platform for young people to contribute to national youth policy and engage in governance. The council will offer non-partisan advice directly to the Prime Minister. Additionally, a National Youth Policy is set to be launched, developed in consultation with young people, with a dedicated committee currently formulating this policy.
