Islamabad, As the monsoon season approaches, the government is taking comprehensive measures to prepare for potential floods and minimize their impact, especially on vulnerable communities.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, detailed the proactive steps being taken. These include the establishment of relief camps at strategic locations to provide shelter, food, portable drinking water, medical supplies, and animal care to those affected by floods.
Alam emphasized that the ministry is facilitating collaboration among all relevant departments to assess flood vulnerabilities and devise a unified strategy aimed at protecting lives, livelihoods, crops, and infrastructure from the adverse effects of potential flooding.
