Government Engages with Jamaat-e-Islami Leaders in Key Talks in Rawalpindi


Islamabad: A high-level government delegation has convened at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi for pivotal discussions with leaders from Jamaat-e-Islami. This meeting marks a significant step in addressing key political and social issues between the two parties.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the government’s negotiation team is led by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and includes Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Maqam, senior Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Prime Minister’s media coordinator Badar Shehbaz. The presence of the Commissioner and RPO Rawalpindi underscores the importance of the talks, aiming to foster mutual understanding and cooperation on various fronts.
