Islamabad, October 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson BISP, Shazia Marri has said that government has distributed sixty-five point seven-nine billion rupees out of seventy billion rupees among two point six million flood-hit families of the country.
Addressing a news conference, along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad, she said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had approved seventy billion rupees for flood-affected people. Shazia Marri said that rehabilitation and reconstruction work is underway with the support of Word Bank and the United Nations.
She said a donors conference in France in collaboration with French President and the UN will be held soon to support the flood-hit people in the country. She further said that federal government will provide full support to farmers of Sindh and Balochistan as seeds will be provided to them.
