Islamabad, September 01, 2021 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister’s Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan says the government is determined to conduct next general elections through Electronic Voting Machines to ensure free, fair, transparent, and credible polling in the country.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he said legislation regarding internet-voting, EVM, and right to vote for overseas Pakistanis will be completed this year. He said we are ready to arrange demonstration of EVM for anywhere to satisfy the opposition. Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Shahbaz Gill urged the opposition to cooperate with the government regarding usage of EVMs to ensure transparency in elections.
