Karachi, Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, announced the government’s commitment to providing the best possible facilities to Hajj pilgrims. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Bankers Training regarding the Hajj portal for Hajj 2024 in Karachi, he noted the significant reduction in Hajj expenses for the first time.
According to Information and Broadcasting, Minister Aneeq stated that Hajj expenses have been reduced to 10,75,000 rupees, and efforts are ongoing to negotiate lower airfares with airlines. He also mentioned the expansion of the ‘Road to Makkah’ program to Karachi Airport, previously limited to Islamabad, and commended the banking sector for its role in facilitating intending pilgrims annually.
