Islamabad, April 04, 2023 (PPI-OT):Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar says the government is committed to provide maximum support to the textile industry to boost the export-led growth of the country. He was talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association that called on him in Islamabad today. The finance minister highlighted the economic and financial outlook of the country and reiterated the government’s resolve to put the economy on stable path and overcome the ongoing challenges.

The delegation briefed the finance minister about its contribution in the revenues, employment generation and exports of Pakistan despite the challenges. It apprised the finance minister of the issues being faced by textile industry in terms of gas and electricity supply and their prices, and regarding the imports and exports. The APTMA delegation extended their all-out support to the government in the economic development of the country. The finance minister directed the relevant authorities to address and resolve their issues on priority basis.
