Islamabad, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin says the government is committed to introduce reforms in various sectors to address long outstanding structural issues and to attain sustainable and inclusive growth. He was speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Gulf Cooperation Council headed by GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
The Minister said the government has introduced reforms in Agriculture, Industry, Information Technology, housing, investment and other sectors and promotion of tourism as vital for economic growth. Shaukat Tarin appreciated the GCC countries for providing hospitability to a large number of Pakistanis working there.
Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin supported the proposals of Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf for broadening the trade, economic relations and investment opportunities between Pakistan and the GCC nations and assured them of full support of the present government.
