Government committed to introduce reforms for country’s sustainable growth: Tarin 

Islamabad, November 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin has said PTI-led government is committed to introduce reforms in various sectors for sustainable and inclusive growth of the country. Talking to US Alternate Executive Director, Asian Development Bank, John Hurley in Islamabad, he said the government has taken several steps to improve the revenue collection through broadening of tax base, capturing retail sales, as well as track and trace system.

Acknowledging the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Asian Development Bank, the advisor emphasized that the bank has always been a source of support in pursuing reforms agenda and implementing various development projects for the country.

US Alternate Executive Director appreciated the efforts and steps taken by the present government of Pakistan for strengthening national economy. John Hurley re-affirmed his Bank’s commitment to continue support for the implementation of structural reforms in future.
