Islamabad, October 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the government is committed to capacity enhancement of disaster management system in the country. In his message on “National Resilience Day”, being observed on Saturday, he said the government is undertaking necessary legislation on the subject, building resilient infrastructure and promoting risk sensitive governance and adaptation.

The Prime Minister said the government will continue to do its best to take care of flood affected people by ensuring their timely rehabilitation, reconstruction and revival of economy. The 8th October is observed as National Resilience Day in the country to express solidarity with the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and rest of Pakistan who suffered human and other losses due to a severe earthquake in 2005.
