Government Announces Reduction in Petroleum Product Prices for Upcoming Fortnight

Karachi, In a move to provide economic relief, the Caretaker government of Pakistan has declared a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight. This decision is expected to have a substantial impact on the cost of living and transportation across the country.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Finance Division announced the revised prices, which include a decrease of 14 rupees per liter for petrol and 13.50 rupees per liter for high-speed diesel. Additionally, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil have been reduced by 10.14 rupees and 11.29 rupees per liter, respectively. These new prices have come into effect starting today.

The reduction in petroleum prices reflects the government’s commitment to mitigating the economic burden on citizens, particularly in the context of global economic challenges and fluctuating oil prices. This initiative is part of broader efforts to maintain economic stability and provide relief to the public.
