Government Adjusts Petroleum Product Prices, Petrol Up and Diesel Down

Islamabad, The government has announced adjustments to the prices of petroleum products effective immediately for the next fortnight. In a move that reflects the ongoing changes in the global oil market, the price of petrol has seen an increase, whereas diesel prices have been reduced.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the price of petrol has been raised by 9.66 rupees per liter, bringing it to a new rate of 289.41 rupees. On the other hand, the price of High Speed Diesel has been decreased by 3.32 rupees per liter, setting it at 282.24 rupees. These price revisions come into effect starting today and will remain in place for the next two weeks.

The adjustment in petroleum product prices is a routine part of the government’s response to fluctuations in the international oil market and currency exchange rates. Such changes are aimed at balancing the economic impact on consumers and the state’s financial commitments to energy suppliers.

The latest revision reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to manage economic pressures and ensure a steady supply of petroleum products across the country. As the new prices take effect, consumers and businesses alike will be adjusting to the changes in their transportation and operational costs.
