Google Plans to Deepen Investment in Pakistan, Discusses Challenges with Finance Minister


Washington DC: In a significant meeting, Mr. Karan Bhatia, Vice President and Global Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, to discuss the tech giant’s future investments and current operations in Pakistan.



According to Press Information Department, Mr. Bhatia provided a comprehensive overview of Google’s ongoing projects and future plans in Pakistan. He highlighted several challenges facing the company, including regulatory, legislative, connectivity, and financial issues. In response, the Finance Minister assured Google of the government’s full support to facilitate its investment and operational ambitions in the country.



The meeting underscores a significant commitment from Google to expand its presence and contribute economically to Pakistan, promising to address the discussed challenges with the support of the Pakistani government.
