Gohar Ejaz Announces Remarkable Growth in Pakistan’s Trade Sector for 2023″

Karachi, The Ministry of Commerce, led by Caretaker Federal Minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz, has announced significant achievements in Pakistan’s trade sector for the year 2023. The Minister’s statement highlighted impressive growth in exports and a notable decrease in imports, underscoring the resilience of Pakistan’s economy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Gohar Ejaz pointed out the positive trade figures and upward trends that marked the year. He emphasized the government’s commitment to continuing support for Pakistani exporters and exploring new export destinations.

In the first 20 days of December, Pakistan witnessed an outstanding year-on-year increase in exports, amounting to $479 million. This figure represents a remarkable growth rate of 33.1 percent. In the same period, the country saw a substantial decrease in imports of $405 million, marking a reduction of 12.8 percent.

From July 1, 2023, to December 20, 2023, Pakistan’s exports soared to $14 billion, indicating a robust performance in the trade sector. These figures demonstrate the effectiveness of the government’s trade policies and the potential for continued growth in the Pakistani economy.

The announcement by the Caretaker Federal Minister of Commerce reflects the positive trajectory of Pakistan’s trade sector and the country’s increasing role in the global market.
