Global community acknowledges Pakistan’s stance on Islamophobia: President

Islamabad, January 25, 2022 (PPI-OT): President Dr Arif Alvi says the government is committed to provide conducive environment to the business community. He was talking to the representatives of the Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industries and business community in Sukkur Tuesday.

During the meeting, the representatives of the chamber and business community presented various proposals pertaining to ease of doing business, establishment of Dry Port in Sukkur, New bridge over Sukkur barrage, and other business related matters.

Earlier, addressing a gathering of students at Cadet College Ghotki on Tuesday, Dr Arif Alvi said the global community acknowledges Pakistan’s stance on Islamophobia, Afghan refugees and positive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The President said Pakistan was the role model in 1960s, but, later on, corruption, non-meritocracy and incompetence pushed back the country in terms of economic progress and prosperity. Dr Arif Alvi expressed the confidence that now country is on the right track and its future is bright.
