Gilgit Rallies Mobilize Thousands in Support of Kashmiris


Gilgit: Widespread rallies and public gatherings were held across Gilgit-Baltistan today to show solidarity with Kashmiris.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the Governor and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, along with various ministers, conveyed their support for the Kashmiri people through video messages and social media. Prominent political figures, including the President of PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan and the President of PML-N Gilgit Division, also called for an end to Indian actions in Kashmir.



Rallies and gatherings took place in multiple districts, including Gilgit, Ghizer, Nagar, Hunza, Skardu, and Astore. These events were organized by government bodies, civil society groups, and educational institutions.



In Gilgit, a significant rally began at Behanzeer Chowk, proceeding to Ittihad Chowk, organized by the government and civil administration. Similar rallies were reported in other districts like Ghizer, Nagar, and Hunza.



In Skardu, a rally organized by civil society and the local administration drew hundreds of participants. Other rallies took place in Ghanche, Tangir, Darel, and Astore.



A social media campaign has also gained momentum, with hashtags like #KashmirWillBecomePakistan trending to express solidarity. Banners have been placed at notable locations throughout Gilgit-Baltistan to further the message of support for Kashmiris.
