Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister and Norwegian Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Cooperation Opportunities


Islamabad, The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Gulbar Khan, held a meeting with the Norwegian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert Alsas, to explore avenues for mutual cooperation and investment.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during their meeting, both the Chief Minister and the Ambassador engaged in discussions about various areas of mutual interest and strengthening bilateral ties. The Chief Minister highlighted the abundant investment opportunities in Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly in sectors like hydro power projects, minerals, fisheries, and dairy farming. He emphasized that these sectors offer promising benefits for Norwegian investment.



The Norwegian Ambassador, Albert Alsas, in response, expressed Norway’s willingness to cooperate with the government of Gilgit-Baltistan in the development sector. This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations and exploring potential collaborative ventures between Norway and Gilgit-Baltistan.
