ISLAMABAD: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani emphasized the urgent need for strengthening the healthcare system with a focus on resilience and innovation during his address at the 14th International Public Health Conference 2024. The conference, organized by the Health Services Academy in Islamabad, served as a platform for highlighting the critical role of healthcare professionals in shaping a robust national healthcare framework.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Gillani underscored the importance of equipping healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and resources, deeming it crucial for the nation’s strength and resilience. He highlighted that skilled and well-trained healthcare workers are fundamental to fostering conditions that allow individuals to lead healthier lives.
In his speech, the Acting President also mentioned the Senate of Pakistan’s commitment to prioritizing discussions on legislation, policies, and initiatives aimed at creating an enabling environment for health institutions.
