Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its alliance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the enduring nature of their brotherly relationship.
During a meeting in Islamabad with Major General (Rtd) Dr. Abdul Rahman bin sanhat Al-Harbi, the head of the Saudi Arabia Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship group, Gilani highlighted the non-transactional nature of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties, rooted deeply in shared faith, history, and common interests.
Gilani acknowledged the significant contribution of over 2.5 million Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia, noting their role in supporting the Kingdom’s development and bolstering Pakistan’s economy through remittances.
In expressing gratitude, Gilani thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued efforts to enhance the Hajj and Umrah experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
Dr. Abdul Rahman bin sanhat Al-Harbi echoed Gilani’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance both nations place on their bilateral ties and cooperation across multiple sectors.
