Gilani Pledges Measures to Protect Overseas Pakistanis’ Interests.

Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has affirmed that comprehensive measures are underway to safeguard the interests of overseas Pakistanis. This commitment was articulated during his discussion with Chairman Overseas Foundation Syed Qamar Raza, who met with him in Islamabad today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Acting President emphasized the vital role overseas Pakistanis play in the country’s development through their remittances. He highlighted that overseas Pakistanis are considered a valuable asset to the nation, and resolving their issues is a priority for the government.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also revealed ongoing initiatives to protect the properties of overseas Pakistanis. He noted the recent approval of a bill that will establish special courts, a significant stride towards safeguarding these properties. The bill mandates that the special courts resolve cases related to the illegal occupation of overseas Pakistanis’ properties within ninety days.

The Chairman of the Overseas Foundation lauded the government’s efforts in setting up special courts to specifically address the concerns of overseas Pakistanis, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to protecting their interests.
