Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani extended his felicitations to the nation on Pakistan’s Independence Day, emphasizing the sacrifices that led to the country’s creation. He urged citizens to uphold the values of unity and determination that were pivotal during the struggle for independence.

Gilani highlighted the vision of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in achieving a sovereign nation on August 14, 1947. He called for parliamentarians to transcend political differences for national progress and stability.
