Ghora Chowk Flyover Progress Aligns with Chief Minister Punjab’s Timeline

Lahore, The Ghora Chowk Flyover, a critical infrastructure project overseen by the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), commonly known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is well on its way to meeting the set timeline, geared towards alleviating traffic issues and promoting better connectivity within the region.

According to Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), This ambitious project, under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has reached significant milestones. The pier construction is nearly complete, with the final concrete pour for one of the four piers being recently accomplished. Additionally, both abutment walls have been successfully constructed, marking a considerable achievement in the project’s journey.

Furthering the comprehensive strategy of improving the region’s infrastructure, the boundary wall is nearing completion, and the groundwork for the slip road and drainage system has begun. Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, has been closely monitoring the day-to-day advancements, ensuring that the project adheres to quality standards and progresses as scheduled.

During a site visit, Imran Amin recognized the adversities brought about by unfavorable weather conditions, such as the recent heavy rain. However, he praised the team’s steadfast dedication, stating that the project’s momentum remained consistent despite the challenges. Amin commented, “CBD Punjab remains devoted to using all resources at its disposal to guarantee the prompt finalization of the Ghora Chowk Flyover, thus advancing the region’s infrastructure for the local populace. The progress made so far is a clear indication of our unwavering commitment.”

The anticipated completion of the Ghora Chowk Flyover stands as a symbol of PCBDDA’s dedication to advancing sustainable development and ensuring progress for the residents of Punjab.

For context, PCBDDA or CBD Punjab is recognized as Pakistan’s premier central business district, established with an aim to position Pakistan prominently on the global business district map. Emphasizing environmentally-friendly urban rejuvenation and economic growth through vertical methodologies, the authority has amassed an impressive 56.47 Billion PKR from its twin grand auctions: Lahore Prime and Lahore Downtown, selling 12 mixed-use commercial plots. Other notable achievements include the completion of the Kalma Underpass CBD Punjab Boulevard, costing 4.2 billion PKR, and the initiation of construction for the Bab-e-Pakistan and Walton Road upgrade. Moreover, a state-of-the-art parking facility with a capacity to accommodate 2500 vehicles is currently under construction within the CBD Punjab project area.
