German Ambassador and Pakistani Finance Minister Discuss Economic Cooperation

Islamabad: German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, met with Minister of State for Finance and Railways, Bilal Azhar Kayani, to discuss the ongoing bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Germany and Pakistan. The meeting focused on strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for economic collaboration.

During the meeting, Minister Kayani emphasized the commitment of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government to transform recent macroeconomic stability into sustainable and inclusive economic growth, driven by exports. He highlighted the government’s focus on long-term economic strategies.

The discussions also touched upon infrastructure development projects, with Minister Kayani noting progress on the upgradation of the ML-1 and ML-3 rail lines. These projects are part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to improve its transportation infrastructure and boost economic growth.
