General Sahir Shamshad Mirza Engages in Strategic Dialogues in China, Affirms Pakistan’s Role in Regional Stability


Beijing: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, during his official visit to the People’s Republic of China, engaged in key meetings with top Chinese military officials and discussed enhancing bilateral strategic and defense cooperation.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, General Mirza met with General He Weidong, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and General Liu Zhenli, Chief of CMC Joint Staff Department. They discussed the longstanding Pakistan-China relationship across various sectors and noted significant progress in their strategic cooperative partnership and defense collaborations.



The discussions also included affirmations from the Chinese leadership on their steadfast support for Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. General Mirza’s participation in the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, where he spoke on Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability, highlighted the visit’s focus on reinforcing bilateral ties and mutual interests in regional security.
