Islamabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Islamabad Police have captured Ehtesham-ul-Haq, a fugitive wanted in connection with a triple murder case, as part of an ongoing campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders.
The arrest was made by the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sihala police station and his team, acting under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. This campaign targets individuals involved in serious crimes such as murder.
During the arrest, police recovered an SMG, a 30 bore pistol, a large cache of ammunition, cash, and a dagger from Ehtesham-ul-Haq’s possession. The operation underscored Islamabad Police’s commitment to curb crime and ensure public safety.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, commended SP Soan zone Pari Gul Tareen and the team for their successful operation. He emphasized the police’s dedication to conducting unbiased operations to prevent crime, violence, and murders.
Ehtesham-ul-Haq will face formal charges based on concrete evidence, and authorities have assured that stringent legal actions will follow to ensure justice.
DIG Tariq also highlighted the department’s use of all available resources to safeguard citizens’ lives and properties. He called upon the public to assist the police by reporting suspicious activities or individuals to local stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” Through collective efforts, he expressed hope for a crime-free society.
