Peshawar, In a solemn acknowledgment of bravery and sacrifice, Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, Major General Noor Wali Khan, visited the family of the martyred Superintendent Police Ejaz Khan to pay homage to his valor in combatting terrorism. This visit, conducted on the directives of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, underlines the intertwined efforts of military and police forces in ensuring the safety and security of Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the visit took place in Peshawar, where Major General Noor Wali Khan offered his respects to the late Ejaz Khan, who was killed last Tuesday during an anti-terror operation in the Katlang area of Mardan. The IG Frontier Corps lauded the officer’s courage and patriotic spirit, emphasizing his active role in the war against terrorism and his ultimate sacrifice for the nation’s peace.

In a gesture of solidarity and support, the IG Frontier Corps presented a cheque of five million rupees to the bereaved family and announced that the Pakistan Army would provide free education for the daughters of the slain officer, further illustrating the state’s commitment to the welfare of those who have sacrificed for the country.

Major General Noor Wali Khan also made a visit to the Mardan Regional Police Office, engaging with officers and personnel who participated in the anti-terrorism operation. He remarked on the longstanding collaboration between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Pakistan Army in their joint counterterrorism efforts. The Inspector General expressed confidence in the resilience of the police force, stating that the sacrifices made by law enforcement agencies have been instrumental in restoring peace to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He affirmed that the nefarious designs of terrorists would not deter the police’s resolve.

This visit and the acknowledgments made by the IG Frontier Corps underscore the deep appreciation and respect held for the law enforcement officers who risk and lay down their lives in the fight against terrorism, ensuring the security and prosperity of the nation.
