Srinagar, Friday prayers were not allowed at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar for the sixth consecutive week and senior APHC-leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continued to be under house arrest at his residence in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Anjuman Auqaf of the Jamia Masjid Srinagar in a statement said the police authorities disallowed the Anjuman from opening the gates of the mosque for Juma prayers.
The Anjuman Auqaf denounced the continued illegal house detention of its chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and termed it frustration of the occupation authorities.
The occupation authorities also once again placed noted religious scholar Agha Syed Mohammed Hadi, under house detention.
