RAWALPINDI, French Ambassador Nicolas Galey met with Pakistan’s Caretaker Defence Minister Lt General (Retired) Anwar Ali Hyder, discussing the role of Pakistan in promoting regional peace and stability. The Defence Minister stressed the importance of Pakistan’s relationship with France and the European Union and emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between the armed forces of both countries.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reports that Lt General Hyder highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability, with a focus on its relations with Afghanistan and India. He expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to work closely with France on bilateral matters and global challenges such as terrorism and extremism. The Defence Minister strongly condemned terrorism in all forms. Ambassador Galey recognized Pakistan’s significant contribution to regional stability and expressed his commitment to improving diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
