Lahore, June 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz said that the mess which was created with regard to the constitution would hardly find any precedent in the history of the Punjab province.CM regretted that the custodian of the House trampled upon the constitution and the law. He denounced that the people of Punjab waited for the budget but their ego and obduracy bulldozed everything.
Hamza Shahbaz while addressing the budget session being held in Aiwan-e-Iqbal said that the one making tall claims of a conspiracy and anarchy is itself manifested in that person’s politics. “Sometimes he attacks the institutions and at times the country.
His politics is centred on the jargon “if I did not come” as ego is disliked by Allah Almighty. A person sitting in Aiwan-e Sadr played a subservient role to Imran Khan and the history will remember Arif Alvi as the constitution breaching President.CM highlighted that despite the absence of a cabinet, Rs 200 billion subsidy had been granted on wheat in order to provide relief to the people of the province.
He disclosed that PML-N launched health card project and we are further improving the health care system. “Now the rich people will also benefit from the health card and I myself have the right to benefit from the health card,” he added.
CM announced that from 1st of July free medicines would be provided in the District Headquarter and Tehsil Headquarter hospitals of 36 districts of Punjab and cancer medicines would also be provided. He stated we would functionalise the cameras of safe city project adding that we would construct and repair farm to market eight thousand kilometre roads to the tune of billions of rupees.
CM revealed that we would also issue interest free loans to the farmers besides provision of other facilities. Hamza Shahbaz underscored that PKLI is a flagship project of PML-N and the project costing billions of rupees will be restored to its original condition in a few months. He maintained that we had allocated Rs 240 billion funds for the South Punjab province which is 35% of the development budget.
CM apprised that laptop scheme is going to be restored for the youth of Punjab and vowed that we would make the building of Punjab Agriculture, and Drug Authority functional adding that 12000 Scotties will be given to the women and ladies teachers.
He disclosed that 500 bedded hospital in Gujranwala would be completed during the current year.CM announce to set up a university in Gujranwala adding that the Punjab cabinet assented the new local government system.
He informed that 4015 union councils would be transferred funds amounting to Rs 55 billion adding that each union council would be provided Rs one crore eight lac fund.” We make a solemn promise with the masses that we will make untiring efforts day and night for the progress of the country and will also restore the economy. We will make a prosperous Pakistan of Quaid-e Azam,” CM concluded.
