France Applauds Pakistan’s Commitment to Regional Peace

Islamabad: In a recent telephonic discussion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, engaged with France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, highlighting Pakistan’s efforts in maintaining regional peace and stability.

During the conversation, Dar underscored Pakistan’s adherence to self-restraint during recent regional tensions, asserting that any defensive measures taken were consistent with the United Nations Charter and international law. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to acting responsibly in pursuit of sustained peace and security in the region.

Barrot extended condolences for the casualties resulting from the conflict and welcomed the recent ceasefire understanding between Pakistan and India. He emphasized the importance of both nations exercising restraint to prevent further escalation.
