Four of Indian Origin Arrested in Texas Human Trafficking Case

Washington: Four individuals of Indian origin have been arrested in Princeton, Texas, on charges related to a human trafficking and forced labor operation. The arrests, which have highlighted issues of exploitation and abuse, were made following a police investigation into a residence in Collin County where numerous women were found living under severe conditions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Princeton Police Department took Chandan Dasireddy, 24, Santhosh Katkoori, 31, Dwaraka Gunda, 31, and Anil Male, 37, into custody after discovering about 15 women sleeping on the floor of a house without proper furnishings. The investigation began in March when a pest control worker reported suspicions of human trafficking at the residence on Ginsburg Lane.

Further inquiries revealed that the women were compelled to work for several shell companies allegedly owned by Katkoori and his wife, Gunda. Police reports from NBC5 News indicate that these individuals, along with other men and women, were employed as programmers under coercive conditions.

The ongoing investigation has extended to additional locations in Princeton, Melissa, and McKinney, where police have seized various items including laptops and phones, indicating a broader network involved in the alleged exploitation.
