New Delhi, December 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):Four journalists working in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have resigned from their jobs, Indian Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Replying to a written question in the upper house of Indian parliament, the Minister said, “Four media persons have reportedly resigned. The media persons who resigned belong to the media house ‘Rising Kashmir’”.
It is worth mentioning here that since the adoption of new media policy enacted by the Modi regime after abrogation of Article 370 in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, journalists are summoned to police stations and army camps on daily basis and are ordered to toe the Hindutva regime’s guidelines for the media. It is until yesterday when Indian police arrested a senior journalist from South Kashmir’s Islamabad district. Journalist Khalid Gul, a resident of Islamabad town, was arrested in an old case filed in 2017. He was reportedly arrested after failing to adhere to the Modi’s media policy in IIOJK.
