Lucknow, In a recent development in Uttar Pradesh, India, four individuals from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including a woman, were arrested by Indian police. The arrests occurred ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the nearby city of Ayodhya.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kotwali police station, Sri Ram Pandey, informed that the Kashmiris, originating from the Poonch district of IIOJK, were detained on Friday night at a hotel. The SHO explained that the arrests were part of precautionary measures taken in anticipation of PM Modi’s visit to Ayodhya on Saturday.
The police are currently interrogating the detained individuals and examining their identity cards and other documents. The SHO relayed that the arrested Kashmiris claimed to work at a madrassa and had traveled to Barbanki to collect donations. As per their statements, it is a routine practice for them to visit various parts of the country during the winter season for fundraising activities.
