Former Sindh Chief Minister calls on Usman Buzdar

Lahore, June 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Former chief minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and discussed matters of mutual interest. He appreciated the composite development agenda of the Punjab government and congratulated Usman Buzdar for presenting a public-friendly budget to boost equitable development. The Punjab government has left other provinces behind by devising separate district development packages, he stated. I wish the Sindh government to follow the Punjab government for ensuring the welfare of the people, he continued. Tremendous work has been done in Punjab during the last three years and we pray for many more successes of the Punjab government, he commented.

CM Usman Buzdar said the enormous work done in a short period by the PTI government was not completed by previous governments in 70 years. The incumbent PTI government has delivered a lot more while projecting less; he maintained and pointed out the past rulers never missed an opportunity to beat the drum for their actions while performing less. They also ravaged institutions through political meddling; the CM lamented and highlighted that postings have been made purely on merit and institutions are fully autonomous to best deliver to the people.

Merit has been encouraged by reversing the culture of personal likes and dislikes, he remarked. Meanwhile, the social sector funding is enhanced and every district will be developed through an annual development program valuing Rs.560 billion. Other provinces will also be taken along in the journey of development, concluded the CM.
