NEW DELHI, Satya Pal Malik, the former Governor of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has urged for the immediate reinstatement of the territory’s statehood, emphasizing the pain and distress caused to the Kashmiris after the transition of Jammu and Kashmir to a union territory.
According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, Malik made these remarks in a recent meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Malik asserted that Jammu and Kashmir couldn’t be governed by force or military means. In an effort to shed more light on the meeting, Rahul Gandhi shared a brief video from their conversation on an unspecified platform. The video captures the two discussing various concerns, including the Pulwama attack and the ongoing circumstances in IIOJK.
During the discussion, Malik expressed his views that the Modi government utilized the Pulwama incident for the BJP’s political advantage and ignored prior warnings about the attack.
