Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan and the current Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, convened at the Jammu Kashmir House to deliberate over the ongoing situation in occupied Kashmir, among other political matters.
According to Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the meeting centered around the escalating human rights violations in occupied Kashmir by India, which Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq described as a flagrant breach of United Nations resolutions. He emphasized that the Kashmiri people reject India’s military occupation and political maneuvers in the region.
The leaders agreed on a unified approach among Azad Kashmir’s political, religious, and Hurriyat leadership to vocally oppose India’s actions on international platforms and advocate for Kashmir’s right to self-determination. Prime Minister Haq also called on former prime ministers to actively support the Kashmiri freedom movement, describing Azad Jammu and Kashmir as the pivotal base for these efforts. He highlighted the government’s dedication to good governance and public service, committing to continued efforts in these areas.
