Islamabad, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad says Kartarpur Corridor is a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment to promoting values of inclusivity, inter-faith harmony, peaceful coexistence and tolerance.
In his tweet on 2nd anniversary of the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor, the spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s policy of promoting inter-faith harmony. He said Kartarpur Corridor offers visa-free access to Sikh pilgrims.
He said in addition to regular visits by up to five thousand pilgrims seven days a week round the year, the Kartarpur Corridor has the capacity to accommodate additional numbers of visitors on special occasions.
In another statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said Pakistan expects that India would allow Sikh pilgrims to travel through the Kartarpur Corridor to participate in the upcoming Baba Guru Nanak’s Birthday celebrations this month. He said celebrations would begin from 17th of this month and we look forward to hosting devotees from India and around the world.
