Islamabad: The foreign ministers of Turkiye and Egypt met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, discussing regional hostilities and diplomatic efforts to mediate peace. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister House, included Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif was joined by several officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Muhammad Asim Malik, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch. During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his greetings to the leadership of Turkiye and Egypt and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating negotiations between Iran and the United States.
The foreign ministers provided their national perspectives on the Middle East conflict, commending Pakistan for its efforts in promoting peace. The leaders highlighted the importance of collective action to address the hostilities affecting multiple countries in the region.
