Foreign Minister Discusses Climate Initiatives and Gaza Situation with USAID Administrator

ISLAMABAD, A telephone dialogue was held today between Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jillani and USAID Administrator Samantha Power, highlighting USAID’s projects in Pakistan, the urgency of the Gaza situation, and the support provided by Pakistan to U.S. bound Afghans.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Administrator Power detailed USAID’s endeavours in Pakistan, specifically emphasizing the agency’s involvement in climate-related initiatives. The conversation then shifted towards the ongoing situation in Gaza. Minister Jillani stressed the immediate need for a ceasefire in the region and ensuring unhindered humanitarian assistance reaches those affected.

Expressing gratitude, Administrator Power acknowledged and thanked the Government of Pakistan for its role in aiding Afghans headed to the United States.
