Islamabad, Ghazala Habib, Chairperson of Friends of Kashmir International (FoKI), and Vice Chairman Abdul Hameed Lone have issued a joint statement congratulating the new leaders of the All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chapter.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the FoKI leadership welcomed Ghulam Mohammad Safi and Pervez Ahmed Shah on their recent elections as the convener and Secretary General of APHC-AJK, respectively. Habib and Lone expressed their optimism that the new Hurriyat leadership will effectively advance the Kashmiri freedom struggle and enhance the international community’s awareness and support for their cause.
The leaders highlighted their commitment to work alongside the Hurriyat to address the challenges faced by Kashmiris under Indian control, emphasizing the global dimension of their advocacy efforts. They also voiced the expectation of the Kashmiri people towards Pakistan and the new Hurriyat leadership to fulfill their aspirations for freedom and justice.
