Flag Hoisting Ceremony Marks Pakistan Day at Pakistan House in London


London: In a simple and dignified ceremony at Pakistan House in London, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, raised the national flag in celebration of Pakistan Day. The event was attended by officials of the High Commission, members of the British-Pakistani community, and media representatives.



According to Press Information Department, messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read during the ceremony. In his keynote address, Dr. Faisal highlighted Pakistan Day as a tribute to the founding fathers who united the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent, allowing them to live independently and according to their customs and traditions.



Dr. Faisal emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the region while asserting that the nation would not tolerate aggression from neighboring countries. He also praised the resilience and perseverance of the Pakistani nation amidst challenges.



In line with the Prime Minister’s directives, the High Commissioner noted that the Pakistan High Commission in London is implementing strict austerity measures, although these will not impact its performance. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK, describing their achievements as a source of pride for Pakistan.



Dr. Faisal expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, pledging continued diplomatic, moral, and political support for their right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions.
