Flag Hoisting Ceremony Marks Independence Day at WAPDA House


Lahore: A flag hoisting ceremony took place at WAPDA House in Lahore to commemorate Independence Day. The event was attended by a large gathering of WAPDA officers, employees, and their families.



Naveed Asghar Chaudhry, WAPDA Member (Finance), led the ceremony by hoisting the National Flag at the WAPDA Auditorium. He was accompanied by Muhammad Arfan Miana, Member (Power), and Syed Ali Akhtar Shah, Member (Water).



Following the flag hoisting, the National Anthem was performed by students from WAPDA Girls High School Mangla. The students also presented Milli Naghmas, adding to the patriotic atmosphere.



In addition to the ceremony, a significant National Flag, measuring 100 feet by 40 feet and weighing 180 kilograms, was displayed prominently at WAPDA House. The building was also illuminated to mark the occasion.



The event was part of a series of activities organized to celebrate the nation’s independence.
