Paris: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris to mark Pakistan Day, drawing a significant turnout from the Pakistani diaspora and embassy officials. The event was conducted in a modest manner, reflecting the current regional situation and government directives.
According to Press Information Department, messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister were shared during the ceremony. Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch highlighted the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices that brought Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal’s vision to life. She emphasized the resilience and unity of the Pakistani nation through historical challenges, referencing recent military operations that underscored Pakistan’s commitment to sovereignty.
Ambassador Baloch urged remembrance of those living under oppression, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). She also noted the importance of strengthening Pakistan-France relations, commending the Pakistani community in France for enhancing bilateral ties and fostering people-to-people connections.
