Five Independent Lawmakers Join PML-N Ahead of Assembly Sessions


Lahore, In a significant political development, five newly-elected independent candidates from the National and Provincial Assemblies have declared their affiliation with the Pakistan Muslim League (N), following a meeting with party President Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore today.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the independents making the switch to PML-N include Sardar Shamshir Mazari from NA 189, Imran Akran from PP 195, Suhail Khan from PP 240, Khizar Hussain Mazari from PP 297, and Sahibzada Mohammad Gazin Abbasi from PP 249. Their decision to join the ranks of PML-N underscores a strategic shift in the political landscape, potentially influencing the balance of power in both the National and Provincial Assemblies.



This move is seen as a consolidation of PML-N’s position in the assemblies, enhancing its ability to navigate the legislative process and implement its policy agenda.
