Five arrested for raising pro-Pakistan slogans after badminton match in Bihar 

Patna, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):The police in Bhojpuri district of the Indian state of Bihar arrested five persons on the charge of chanting ‘pro-Pakistan’ slogans after winning a local badminton tournament. The arrested persons include Mohammad Tanvir Alam, Mohammad Arman, Kallu and Sonu. The action was taken against them after a video of the winning march was uploaded on social media where they were chanting the ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans.

An official said, a badminton tournament was held after which the organisers gave a trophy to the winning team. He said, the players did a victory march in the village and chanted the slogans. When the video was uploaded on social media, district police took cognizance of the matter.
