First Shipment of Chinese Agricultural Equipment Arrives in Islamabad for Green Pakistan Initiative


Islamabad, In a significant development for Pakistan’s agriculture sector, the first large shipment of agricultural equipment has arrived from China under the Green Pakistan initiative program. The equipment, which includes advanced technology such as tractors, irrigation systems, and satellite and drone intelligent control platforms, is expected to revolutionize the country’s irrigation systems and agricultural practices.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the shipment was transported via the Khunjerab Pass, marking a milestone in the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China in the realm of agriculture. The Green Pakistan Initiative aims to modernize the agriculture industry in Pakistan, making it more efficient and sustainable.



The cargo comprises twenty tractors, Drip Irrigation Systems, Hose Reel-based Irrigation Systems, a Satellite and Drone Intelligent Control Platform, a Smart Agriculture Management platform, and Smart Agriculture Internet of Things. These technologies are set to enhance the precision and efficiency of agricultural operations in Pakistan, leading to increased productivity and reduced water waste.



This initiative not only aims to improve the agriculture sector but also contributes to the strengthening of Pakistan’s industry by introducing innovative solutions and advanced technology. The collaboration between Pakistan and China on this front demonstrates a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and economic development through technological advancement.
