First Pakistan-Oman Trade Expo and Business Conference Unveils in Muscat

Muscat: The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat has launched the inaugural Pakistan-Oman Trade Expo and Business Conference, a significant multi-sectoral event that started on October 13 and will span two days. The expo, a first of its kind, features a wide array of Pakistani businesses from sectors such as textiles, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and more, seeking to strengthen trade ties and explore new business opportunities between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, the event has drawn notable figures including HH Sayyid Juland Bin Jaifar Al Said, chairman of the Pakistan Oman Investment Company, and H.E. Faisal Bin Abdullah Al Rawas, chairman of the Oman Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The expo has gathered 172 business delegates from Pakistan’s leading companies and provides a unique platform for showcasing high-quality Pakistani products to the Omani market. This initiative also offers Pakistani investors a chance to scout for investment opportunities in Oman.

The conference is seen as a crucial step towards enhancing the economic partnership between Pakistan and Oman, with the expo facilitating direct interactions that could lead to future partnerships and collaborations. Additionally, the event included sessions to inform Pakistani businesspersons about the legalities of opening and operating companies in Oman. The expo aims to reflect the deep-rooted, yet underexploited, trade potential between the two countries.

Ambassador Imran Ali Chaudhry expressed his appreciation for the Omani government’s support in organizing the expo and highlighted the event as a new chapter in the economic relations between Pakistan and Oman. He underscored the importance of frequent interactions between the business communities of both countries as a catalyst for new trade and investment opportunities and announced plans to make the expo an annual event.
