Islamabad, First Lady Samina Alvi has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to women empowerment, highlighting its role in the nation’s development. She addressed these issues while inaugurating the Annual Charity Bazaar organized by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association in Islamabad on Saturday.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported that the First Lady spoke about ongoing efforts to protect women from breast cancer and assist people with disabilities. She called for greater facilitation for individuals with disabilities and those facing mental health challenges. Additionally, she urged the media and international community to actively participate in raising awareness and promoting the welfare of the needy. The charity bazaar featured stalls set up by embassies and High Commissions of various countries, showcasing their cultures. The event was attended by a large number of diplomats and their family members.
