Islamabad: In a compelling call to action, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has highlighted the critical importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, urging women to prioritize their health in the fight against the most prevalent cancer affecting Pakistani women.



Also recognized as Pink October, this month is dedicated globally to the advocacy of breast cancer prevention, early detection, and support for those impacted. In her message, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari emphasized that breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women in Pakistan, with statistics indicating that one in nine women is at risk of developing the disease in her lifetime.



The First Lady passionately encouraged women to engage in regular self-examinations and to seek professional medical check-ups, particularly after reaching the age of thirty.
